GLORY 58 Chicago to Highlight Welterweights

GLORY 58 Chicago

The Summer of GLORY continues into the dog days when GLORY heads to Chicago for GLORY 58 on Friday, September 14th. The show will be heavily focusing on the welterweight division, with the card thus far featuring five out of eight of the the announced fights happening within the welterweight division. On the SuperFight Series we get our first taste with a welterweight tournament featuring Casey Greene vs. Troy Jones and Mike Lemaire vs. Omar Moreno.

Then, featured on the main card, will be Alan Scheinson vs. Malik Watson-Smith as well as hometown hero Ricahrd Abraham against Omari Boyd. The main even that we have thus far for GLORY 58 is Benjamin Adegbuyi looking for some of that Romanian goodwill in the Chicagoland area against the very tough Jahfarr Wilnis. The two met last in 2015 in a tournament final which saw Adegbuyi pick up the victory and stop Wilnis in his tracks, derailing a six-fight winning streak that included a world championship in Kunlun Fight along the way.

It should be an interesting fight with both men fresh, not at altitude (the last fight was in Denver) and without tournament stakes.
