K-1 Japan held their -67.5kg Grand Prix this morning in Japan in an event that saw a tournament that had its ups and downs, with early favorite Yuta Kubo taking the tournament after the other favorite, Melsik Baghdasarya, was forced out of the semifinals after suffering an injury earlier on in the night. K-1 WGP in Japan Super Welterweight Results: Chingiz Allazov Takes the Gold

In yet another action-packed night of fights, K-1 WGP in Japan provided us with a 70kg tournament that saw Chingiz Allazov knock out Hiroki Nakajima, Jordan Pikeur and have Yasuhiro Kido take him to a decision on his way to the top. While many predicted that Allazov would pick up this win, he was forced to earn it against a rejuvenated Kido, with Kido scoring a TKO win over Luke Whelan and taking out Sanny Dahlbeck with low kicks before the finals against Allazov. On June 18th live from the Saitama Super Arena Community Arena K-1 WGP Japan will present yet another jam-packed show, featuring a Super Welterweight Tournament at 70kg. The tournament, featuring such names as Yasuhiro Kido, Jordan Watson, Sanny Dahlbeck, Chingiz Allazov, Jordan Pikeur, HINATA (Watanabe) and Hiroki Nakajima really represents an interesting cross-section of some of the best at 70kg.
