WBC Boxing Champ Srisaket Sor Rungvisai Making ONE Championship Debut in October

While many of the combat sports promotions in the world are focused on doubling down on promoting a lone sport, ONE Championship is showing its dedication to the broad spectrum of sports this October. On October 6th in Thailand, ONE Championship: Kingdom of Heroes will feature the ONE debut of WBC and Ring Super Flyweight Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai’s debut won’t be in MMA, kickboxing or muay thai — all sports ONE already promotes — but in his home sport of professional boxing. If that sounds like a departure, then you haven’t been paying attention to ONE’s flexibility and [read more]

Kai Ting Chuang Scores Championship Victory at ONE Championship: Battle For the Heavens

ONE Championship headed back to the ring for ONE Championship: Battle For the Heavens to decide the ONE Championship Atomweight Kickboxing Championship between Kai Ting Chuang from China and Yodcherry Sityodtong from Thailand in the main event. It was a war between the two, with the contrasting styles highlighted throughout the fight. Chuang was able to dominate the ring with her push kick and punch flurries. Her hands are fast, accurate and she isn’t afraid to unload. The story of the fight was Yodcherry looking to methodically piece Kai Ting apart, only for Chuang to close the distance, lower Yodcherry’s [read more]

ONE Spirit of a Warrior Results: Sorgraw Beats Sana

ONE Championship’s Spirit of a Warrior will definitely be the story of the MMA bout between Aung La N Sang and Ken Hasegawa for the ONE Middleweight Championship, the company continued its march into professional kickboxing and muay thai with three ONE SuperSeries fights on the card. Surprisingly enough, for a night when the kickboxing bouts took place inside of the MMA cage with MMA gloves, there were no stoppages. Instead what we saw was a lot of action and a lot of these guys trying to get used to this setting for kickboxing. Sorgraw and Samy Sana were the highlight [read more]

ONE Championship headed to Macau for ONE Pinnacle of Power today, featuring a ring over a cage for the action, which made the showdown between Lerdsilla and Sok Thy’s fight all-the-more exciting. There were four ONE SuperSeries bouts featured on this card, all of which were held under traditional muay thai rules inside of the ring outside of the one kickboxing bout. Four bouts was, indeed, an increase and the action went fast throughout the night. Yukinori Ogasawara picked up a KO victory over Rui Botleho with, of all things, a pretty incredible spinning back elbow in the second round. [read more]

Sergej Maslobojev vs. Antonio Plazibat at ONE is a Clash of a New Generation

When talking about heavyweight kickboxing it can be difficult to really nail down who the next generation of talent is. The problem is that Rico Verhoeven really seems like he’s virtually unchallenged right now. But while Rico Verhoeven has been getting all of the attention, heavyweights from around the world have been honing their respective crafts, all of them looking to claim the crown that Verhoeven lays claim to as the [read more]
