On July 14th Bellator heads to Rome and will be presenting Bellator Kickboxing 10. Thus far two fights have been made for the card and these two are a doozy. The first is a Lightweight World Championship bout between Giorgio Petrosyan and Chingiz Allazov. This is a tough fight for Petrosyan, with Allazov perhaps one of the best lightweights in the world right now (we currently have him ranked at #6) and a real test of where he’s at in his career. The second fight is one that Bellator has been looking to put together for a while now in [read more]
Bellator Kickboxing held their 8th event tonight, piggybacking off of Bellator MMA 190, in Florence, Italy. The card was packed with fan-favorite fighters who mostly did what they went out to do by picking up big wins, with the one anomaly being Kevin Ross losing via split decision to Hamza Imane. Gabriel Varga got back on the winning track with a TKO win over Roberto Gheorghita, after refocusing himself on the sport of kickboxing. Here’s a look at Varga. That, in a nutshell, is the sport of kickboxing. There are ups and downs, with the extremes being just that: extremes. Nine years ago, after almost fifteen years of consuming everything that I could in the realm of martial arts, from pro wrestling to early MMA to kickboxing and muay thai, I made the decision that [read more]
