Kai Ting Chuang Scores Championship Victory at ONE Championship: Battle For the Heavens

Kai Ting Chuang celebrating her victory (ONE Championship)

ONE Championship headed back to the ring for ONE Championship: Battle For the Heavens to decide the ONE Championship Atomweight Kickboxing Championship between Kai Ting Chuang from China and Yodcherry Sityodtong from Thailand in the main event. It was a war between the two, with the contrasting styles highlighted throughout the fight. Chuang was able to dominate the ring with her push kick and punch flurries. Her hands are fast, accurate and she isn’t afraid to unload. The story of the fight was Yodcherry looking to methodically piece Kai Ting apart, only for Chuang to close the distance, lower Yodcherry’s guard and start unloading. That was enough to score her the championship in an exciting bout.

Ibrahim El Bouni once again showed the world that he’s one of the most exciting guys on the light heavyweight/heavyweight line in his bout with Andre Meunier. Meunier was throwing hard, but El Bouni had the experience edge and was able to lure him into getting tagged, repeatedly. This led to El Bouni scoring a right straight and a left hook as Meunier was ducking in that sent him crashing to the canvas in just the first round, therefore awarding him the knockout victory.

Saemapetch and Deividas Danyla put on an entertaining affair as well, with Saemapetch showing the art of all eight limbs against the Lithuanian fighter, landing clean elbows, kicks, punches and knees. Subsequently, he was awarded the unanimous decision thanks to that.
