Nathan Corbett

When Nathan "Carnage" Corbett made his GLORY debut at GLORY 11 Chicago against Tyrone Spong there were high hopes among seasoned Kickboxing and Muay Thai fans as Nathan Corbett has been tearing up opponents at Light Heavyweight for years now, but mostly in Australia. He's been the guy that everyone has wanted to switch over to Kickboxing for years, but honestly, his few stints into Heavyweight Kickboxing didn't bear fruit. With GLORY promoting more weight classes it seemed like a perfect fit, the only problem was he ran into Tyrone Spong in the prime of his fighting career and things didn't work out for him.

Carnage came back with a vengeance this weekend at Total Carnage IV from Gold Coast where he met Henriques Zowa from the Netherlands. How did it go? Well, it's Carnage and he's allowed to throw elbows. Carnage scored a stoppage via an elbow strike in the second round.

Morosanu/Edwards

This weekend might have been a bit slow when it comes to Kickboxing news, but in Australia there was a battle between two big name Heavyweights by the way of Catalin Morosanu from Romania squaring off against Australia's own Ben Edwards. The two were competing for the Kings of Kombat Heavyweight Championship, but I think most importantly, for standing in the Heavyweight division across the world. Morosanu has been trying to make his way into the elite for a while now, somewhere that Edwards has had experience.

It turned into a slugfest early on, according to reports that we've received, with Morosanu fighting the way that we all know he fights; heavy hands, looking for the knockout blow. Edwards, on the other hand, who hasn't always been known as a technician, fought a smarter fight by going after Morosanu's legs throughout the bout. Morosanu was focused on knocking Ben's head off, which meant that he was not of the mind to check the leg kicks, which was his undoing when it came time for the judges to deliberate.

Edwards won the Majority decision over Morosanu, but it sounds like it was a very entertaining and exciting fight.

John Wayne Parr

Most of you know John Wayne Parr, lovingly known as JWP, as he has fought all over the world and fought some of the best in the world. He very briefly retired before becoming enamored with the idea of fighting inside of a cage with MMA gloves on. No, that doesn't mean that he's been fighting MMA, but he's come up with his own concept of "Caged Muay Thai," which he has fought in twice now. This was the third Boonchu Cup: Caged Muay Thai event, though, this time Parr fought the very tough Marco Pique. The two went all five rounds with Parr taking a tough decision victory.

Total Carnage 3 took place yesterday once again in Gold Coast, Australia with Nathan "Carnage" Corbett in the main event, taking on Poland's Kamil Sokolowski.

The fight was almost over before it even started, and was all Corbett. Just seconds into the fight, Sokolowski came at Corbett with punches but got countered with a few knees and then got dropped with a right elbow. Sokolowski couldn't get up and the fight was over just like that.

Also on the card was Michael "Tomahawk" Thompson, who fought another Polish fighter, Tomasz Makowski. The fight was heating up nicely in the first round before Makowski seemed to have broken his leg and was unable to continue, giving Thompson the TKO win. (Video)

Steve Moxon returned to the ring today in Melbourne, Australia at Brute Force 21, after his fight last month against Fadi Merza was cancelled.

Moxon faced Giannis Mixalopoulos, a fighter who came all the way from Greece, and also who is fighting at the K-1 MAX Final in Greece next month. Moxon cruised to a unanimous decision victory, dropping Mixalopoulos in the third round.

For Moxon, he has one fight left on the year, taking place at Kings of Kombat 8 in Australia on December 8. From the sounds of it, he'll face Mostafa Abdollahi there.

Moxon signed with GLORY this year and will make his debut for the promotion in 2013.
