Rian Scalia posted an article about upcoming fights, one of which is a "winner takes all" bout between Simon Marcus and Joe Schilling.

Marcus is a top fighter with a solid pedigree. He comes from Siam No. 1, possibly the finest Muay Thai gym in North American. (They have a reputation for putting out very well-prepared fighters). He turned pro not too long ago, after capturing a number of amateur belts, including the IFMA title and the SportAccord Games <81kg gold in Beijing.

This fight, from a San Da vs Muay Thai event in China, showcases Marcus's strong, traditional Muay Thai technique. For those who understand Chinese, the commentating is also fairly (and unintentionally) hilarious for reasons of racism and blatant national bias.

Marcus is in the black and gold, and Guo is in red.

(Edit: This is actually a rematch. Guo and Marcus fought on another San Da vs Muay Thai show in a one-sided, and I mean VERY one sided, beatdown (Guo landed maybe twenty strikes over five rounds.) Why they were matched again, I don't know. Guo had a slight knee injury in their first bout, so maybe the promoters thought he would do significantly better next time. If that was the case, he blew their minds by doing significantly worse.)

Following up on the results for Thai Boxe Mania, we've also got videos of the three top fights on the card. Artur Kyshenko vs. Roberto Cocco was a good fight with Kyshenko dominating the action. Yury Bessmertny's KO of Gago Drago is an early KO of the year candidate. Chingiz Allazov showed why he's one of the best up and comers in kickboxing with his dominant win over Erkan Varol. Check out the videos. The knockout is at 7:26 of the second video. Click "Read More" to see all of them.

Badr Hari and Gokhan Saki fought for the second time yesterday at the historical It's Showtime event in Leeuwarden. This was Badr's last fight in kickboxing before he heads to the United States to pursue a career in boxing. The hype leading up to this fight was like none other since the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix. The fight between Badr Hari and Gokhan Saki itself was the biggest fight since the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix, and the entire event was the biggest event since then also. The atmosphere in the arena was unmatched. Check out the video of Badr Hari's last kickboxing match.

It's Showtime held the press conference for their huge event tomorrow featuring Badr Hari vs. Gokhan Saki headlining the card. All the fighters on the card were present at the press conference and took pictures and questions in front of fans and media. Many would've expected an intense staredown from Badr Hari and Gokhan Saki but both men were all smiles. They embraced eachother and shook hands ahead of their huge fight tomorrow. Check out the video. Thanks to Staredown.nl for the footage and all the work they've done covering the event.

The stacked Yokkao Extreme event yesterday wasn't shown anywhere, but that didn't stop videos from getting out. Buakaw vs. Dzhabar Askerov, Giorgio Petrosyan vs. Abraham Roqueni and Armen Petrosyan vs. Djime Coulibaly were all recorded and uploaded to Youtube. Giorgio won a clear decision, but Roqueni gave a nice showing. Buakaw also won a clear decision, but Askerov got his fair share of shots in, much like Roqueni. Armen Petrosyan scored a stoppage over Djime Coulibaly. Check the videos below.

Buakaw is a beast of course, and I'm sure no one wants to get kicked by him, let alone teed off on. Well, this palm tree had the misfortune of meeting Buakaw. Not just meeting Buakaw, but getting absolutely destroyed. Axe manufacturers might want to reevaluate their products, because Buakaw shows in this video just how to chop down a tree in the most efficient way possible, Muay Thai style.

The stacked Yokkao Extreme card is getting closer day by day, and just the thought of seeing Buakaw, Giorgio Petrosyan, Saenchai, Sudsakorn and all the other great fighters on the same card makes me giddy. Yokkao's videos are some of the best in the business, highlighting their brand and fighters in excellent quality. Today they released an official promo for Yokkao Extreme, which takes place on January 21st. We've got the video for you, which features the top fighters on the event.

The stacked Yokkao Extreme card goes gown on January 21, and among the great lineup of fighters on the card are the Petrosyan brothers. Giorgio is fighting Abraham Roqueni and Armen is fighting Djime Coulibaly. Italian site muaythaicombat.it today released a video that gives a look into the Petrosyan brothers' training, something we don't get to see too often. Strength and conditioning training is mostly shown but the actual kickboxing training is towards the end. Check out the video and besides watching Giorgio and Armen train, see if you can critique their form on the leg press.

Jerome Le Banner is just hours away from a showdown with Tim Sylvia in the pro wrestling ring at Genki Desu Ka. There's a good chance some real violence will break out. Just yesterday though, Jerome laid some real violence on Andrei Kirsanov in Pattaya, Thailand, part of the "Le Banner Tour" put together by Orange Sport. And why not? Take a not too hard fight, get paid, wrestle the next day, get paid again. Sounds good to me. Check out the video.

2011 has been a pretty good year for the Moldovan fighter Constantin Tutu. He's won all five of his fights, including a one night tournament in October where he picked up three of those wins. He's one of the better fighters in the 80kg weight range, yet to most, probably unknown. What's crazy is that for most of 2010, he was fighting at 70kg. Tutu has settled nicely into the 80kg area and established himself as one of the top players at the weight. He's only fought in Moldova this year, but let's hope in 2012 we can see him expand his horizon by fighting for some bigger organizations.

Check out his last fight from December 10 in Chisinau, Moldova. He took on Adrian Balas of Romania and didn't need much time to score an awesome KO with a jumping knee.

Our good friend StillW1ll is back at it again, this time with an awesome highlight of the best kickboxer in the world, Giorgio Petrosyan. Will captures all the magnificent slips, counter, angles and pure precision by "The Doctor." This is the best Petrosyan highlight yet and it's no surprise that it's made by StillW1ll. "The Reem" series is back with a new episode today, the eighth one of the second season. It details the lead-up to Alistair's fight with Brock Lesnar on December 30, including training, PR duties, behind the scenes and more. What's really interesting is the look at Alistair's training, where he brought in some heavyweights such as former UFC fighter Todd Duffee, undefeated MMA fighter and highly accomplished NCAA Divison I wrestler Jared Rosholt. That Tatneft Cup kicked off their 2012 season on Saturday with the first installment of their 1/8 finals, featuring two fights each at 70kg, 80kg and 91kg+. Among the fights that took place was Artur Alimirzoev against Umyut Demirors at 70kg. Neither of these two fighters are known at all, and it's always nice to see a fight between two fighters you've never seen before. Alimirzoev ended up scoring a devastating knockout, with Demirors doing a slow motion faceplant. Chalk up another candidate for KO of the year? Check out the video:
