Buakaw

Look, I know that only Americans call it Soccer and that everywhere else in the world it is Football. I get it. The thing is, I'm American and I feel it would be disingenuous for me to just start calling it Football like I've always called it Football. Football to me is still the NFL and will probably stay that way as long as there is an America and the NFL. I'm sorry. That being said, Buakaw Banchamek will be giving out the world of professional Football a try.

According to a report, two-time K-1 World MAX Champion Buakaw Banchamek will be playing for RBAC FC, which is a reserve team for the Thai Premier League club. No, Buakaw won't be involved in the Premier League, but what did you expect from him, to just immediately be among the elite? It's not clear what sort of role that Banchamek will have on the team, but he was involved in a game this Sunday and is expected to get some play time. How this will mesh with his career as a Kickboxing and Thai fighter has yet to be seen, but I suspect it won't have a huge impact.

Buakaw is scheduled to fight Lee Sung-Hyun on February 23rd in the K-1 World MAX Final Four. [source]
