MAX Muay Thai's resume' of stacked cards continues to roll, as today the Thai based promotion released a tentative roster for their 4th show scheduled for October 6th in Sendai, Japan.
As usual, the always controversial Buakaw Banchamek headlines the event against an as-of-yet unnanounced opponent.
However, using a bit of deductive reasoning, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that Muay Thai's golden boy could be stepping into the ring against former K-1 stalwart and Japanese icon, Yoshihiro Sato. Sato and Buakaw have met three times before, with the man from Banchamek taking the first two fights, and Sato scoring a KO victory in the third. This time, it appears that Buakaw will have the chance to earn his revenge against Sato in Full Thai Rules. While Yoshihiro suffered a rough spot in 2012, the "Infinity Sniper" has since rebounded with wins over Henri Van Oepstal, Sun Hyun Lee, and Yuichiro Nagashima.
Other notable names scheduled for MAX Japan include the surging Aikpracha Meenayothin, who looked nearly unbeatable in his latest MAX outing against Warren Stevelmans, young GLORY fighter Alessandro Campagna, who owns a recent victory over the (often) unlucky but skilled Fabio Pinca, Dylan Salvador- who more than likely makes his return to MAX as France's 67kg tournament representative, and Yuya Yamamoto, AJKF kickboxing champion, K-1 MAX Runner-Up, and Krush faithful.
Overall, the card seems very solid. Because Sagetdao qualified for the MAX Final Tournament in December, the Japanese 4 Man will take place without a Thai representative. The winner will go on to face Andrei Kulebin, Victor Ngabe, and Sagetdao at the end of the year.
