GLORY 9 New York is under a month away, taking place on June 22 and features the eight man tournament at GLORY's light heavyweight class of 95kg. Aside from the tournament field already being set, two reserve fights have also been added to the bill.
The first reserve fight sees Koichi Watanabe back in the GLORY ring after his loss to Jerome Le Banner, as he'll be taking on the American, Randy Blake, who makes his GLORY debut.
The other reserve fight pits Artem Levin's training partner Artem Vakhitov against Dutch up and comer Luis Tavares. Vakhitov used to fight as low as 79kg but in recent times has moved up a lot in weight, fighting at 86kg and most recently fighting at 91kg on May 18 where he put on a very impressive performance in beating quite a formidable opponent in Alexander Oleinik by decision over five rounds.
