Lion Fight

Lion Fight is a rising promotion here in the United States that has been doing a lot to move Muay Thai forward in the country. That is a big deal, as Muay Thai and Kickboxing have sort of floundered there in the United States after the momentary rise and fall of Kickboxing in the late 80's/early 90's. Lion Fight have been securing their talent into exclusive fight contracts to ensure that they are on their upcoming shows and to help build their brand. There will always be pros and cons involved with this, but everyone is different and have different needs.

We've already seen Kevin Ross, Malaipet Sasiprapa and Tiffany Van Soest sign exclusive deals and now Ognjen Topic is the latest to do so. This comes a day after Joe Schilling announced via his Facebook that he was effectively "done" with Lion Fight due to them pushing him to sign an exclusive contract with them. While it is not official yet, it looks like this will be the second Lion Fight card in a row that Schilling will be removed from, this time probably not to return due to severing ties with the company.

Ognjen Topic will fight at Lion Fight 10 on July 26th against Coke Chunhawat live on AXS TV.
