For the past few months there's been word of Kem Sitsongpeenong and Yodsanklai Fairtex fighting on December 30 in Pattaya, Thailand, and just now we've gotten full details of the fight and the event.

Muay Thai Combat, ran by Stefania Picelli and Yokkao will host the event, titled Muay Thai Combat Mania Pattaya. The event will be streamed live on yokkao.com and muaythaicombat.com.

Yodsanklai Fairtex was for a long time one of the most world-renowned Thais fighting internationally and Kem has become one of those Thais over the past few years. For a long time, this fight seemed like it wouldn't happen because of weight but both fighters agreed on 71kg with same day weigh-ins.

Kem and Yod used to be stablemates at Fairtex, and a few years ago, many would've taken Yod to win without a second thought. Things have changed a lot over the past few years with seemingly slowing down, especially this year and last year. Both fighters are 27 years old.
