New Muay Thai in America Promo Video

Muay Thai is still a growing sport here in the US, but it is picking up steam like some sort of counterculture movement to clash against the "I trane UFC" movement. I get it, I really do, especially after training in Kickboxing and Muay Thai for a number of years when compared to my time training at MMA gyms in New England. MMA gyms meant training with bouncers and guys who were looking to feel justified in their TapouT shirts, while Muay Thai was kind of a nerd's refuge in a lot of ways, of the people who were more thinkers than they were deranged sociopaths. No, I'm not saying that all people who do MMA are sociopaths, just that in 2002 in New England, you try training at a MMA gym.

Anyway, on December 1st, Atma'Sphere Entertainment is presenting Muay Thai in America: In Honor of the King on PPV. The event features a pretty impressive list of names on the card so far (check for yourself here) and will be presented on American PPV (DirecTV and iN DEMAND) for $34.99 for HD or yes, even 3D. Yes, it will be filmed and presented in 3D for those of you who actually decided to plonk down a healthy chunk of change on a 3D TV to watch Avatar and, well, Avatar.
