Thai Fight is back on this Wednesday, September 19 in Lyon, France, once again in Europe before they head back to Thailand next month. The card features some marquee match-ups between Thais and French fighters, with the likes of Fabio Pinca, Saiyok Pumphanmuang, Aikpracha Meenayothin, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Yohan Lidon.
At the top of the card we have a very good fight between Fabio Pinca and Saiyok Pumphanmuang. Pinca is one of the best non-Thai fighters in Muay Thai and Saiyok, of course has made his name dominating foreign fighters with his aggressive, high octane fighting style. Saiyok last fought at Thai Fight's show in England where he turned in a dominating performance over a game Craig Jose. Pinca last fought in June in Thailand, defeating another Thai, Big Ben Chor Praram6 by decision.
Also, rising star on the international scene, Aikpracha Meenayothin takes on Yohan Lidon, the former It's Showtime 73MAX Champion. Expect Aikpracha to come out aggressively from the opening bell, especially with the three rounds of three minutes format that Thai Fight uses. Aikpracha beat Lidon's teammate, Fabio Pinca, back in March so there's no doubt that Lidon knows how big of a task he has ahead of himself.
Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee finds himself on a Thai Fight card again, fresh off of beating Issam Reghi at Thai Fight in England a month ago. Sudsakorn fights Mickael Piscitello, another stablemate of Fabio Pinca and Yohan Lidon at Team Nasser K. A former Sudsakorn opponent and Team Nasser K member, Abdallah Mabel, takes on Super X, who defeated Mickael Piscitello back in March.
In a rematch from last month's Thai Fight show, Houcine Bennoui faces Singmanee Kaewsamrit, after Singmanee won a decision over Bennoui that many people thought should've gone the other way (Myself not included). Bennoui's attack centered around punches and low kicks with occasional clinch work while Singmanee stuck to the pure Thai style way of fighting with clean knees and body kicks.
Karim Bennoui vs. Plynoi Por Paoin was supposed to happen but Plynoi was knocked out in Japan just two days ago so the fight is most likely off. Up and coming French prospect Raphael Llodra takes on the biggest test of his career as he fights Armin Pumphanmuang.
