ALL K-1 FIGHTERS MAKE WEIGHT FOR U.S. GRAND PRIX CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 – LA SPORTS ARENA

Los Angeles, CA - All 30 fighters competing in the K-1 U.S. Grand Prix Championship stepped on the scales at the official weigh-in event today starting at 11:00 a.m. PT in Los Angeles, and the California State Athletic Commission today confirmed all fighters made weight.

The K-1 U.S. Grand Prix Championship feature a headlining main event between heavyweights Dewey Cooper and Randy Blake, as well as the co-main event between Jarrell Miller and Randy Blake. After the pair posed for photo-ops following their square off, Cooper said to the crowd, "I'm happy to be back in K-1 and I'm bringing my A-game tomorrow night. I'm excited for the main event, and I hope Randy Blake brings it, too."

Blake said, "This is going to be an exciting fight, I feel great, I made weight and it is awesome to be in K-1. Tomorrow night I'm going to show K-1 what Americans can do. And I'm gonna show it to Dewey Cooper, too."

K-1 U.S. Grand Prix Championship takes place tomorrow night, Saturday, Sept. 8. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. PT; First bout starts at 5:00 p.m. PT and the Opening Ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m. PT.

Fans around the world can watch the event live on U-Stream starting at 6:00 p.m. PT for $9.99. The undercard bouts will be shown free on Spike TV starting at 5:00 p.m. PT. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com.
