Shortly after SuperKombat's partnership with K-1 was announced, we expected some of their fighters to make their way over to the K-1 World Grand Prix Final 16 on October 14 in Tokyo, Japan. Today it was announced that three SuperKombat fighters would participate on the Final 16 card.

Raul Catinas, as we already know, Catalin Morosanu and Benjamin Adegbuyi will be the three SuperKombat fighters on the Final 16 event and also the three Romanian fighters. All three won their respective SuperKombat World Grand Prix one night tournaments that qualified them for SuperKombat's Final Elimination on November 10. All three will still fight in SuperKombat's tournament also. Catalin Morosanu has stated that he doesn't know yet if he'll be in a super fight or in the Final 16.

Benjamin Adegbuyi, the last SuperKombat one night tournament winner to date, will represent Nigeria as opposed to Romania. His mother is Romanian and his father is Nigerian and he is based out of Romania. Adegbuyi will represent Nigeria much like how Netherlands-based fighters Errol Zimmerman and Gokhan Saki represent Suriname and Turkey respectively.

Although these three have been announced as the three Romanian fighters in the FInal 16, do remember that Daniel Ghita is Romanian, although we still don't know where he'll end up fighting.
