GLORY's Final 8 of their 70kg tournament is on November 3 in Rome, and there will be an English representative in the tournament. Tim Thomas qualified for the Final 8 after beating Dennis Schneidmiller at the Final 16 in May and now there will be another English fighter joining him in GLORY.
Jordan Watson signed with GLORY and is slated to make his debut for the organization on the Final 8 event in Rome on November 3. Watson is the best 70kg fighter in England and is definitely deserving of a shot at the big stage.
So far in his career he's missing the one big, career defining win but he has hung tough with the likes of Buakaw Por Pramuk and Saiyok Pumphanmuang. Most recently he lost in a five round ISKA fight to French fighter Johann Fauveau back in May. The loss is nothing to scoff at though, as Fauveau is a great fighter himself. This opportunity for Watson in GLORY gives him some more chances to prove himself on the world stage, but in kickboxing.
Watson's contract is reportedly a one year deal for two fights, with a five figure purse, as is reportedly the same for Tim Thomas.
