The other day we posted about how Bogdan Stoica, who is one of SuperKombat's stars and their current 91kg World Champion, got into a motorcycle accident and was hospitalized. At the time we didn't know how badly he was injured or what the diagnosis would be, but there was a lot of optimism that he could get well.
Today we received word that Stoica is now out of the hospital and expected to make a full recovery. He's can not do any physical activities like sports for a month, after which he will start his recovery process. A full recovery can take up to six months, but Stoica hopes he can return to the ring and fight by the end of the year.
Everyone around Bogdan and SuperKombat were very surprised by how quickly he got out of the hospital and how much his condition has already improved from the time of the accident.
After what has happened to numerous athletes who have gotten in motor accidents, like Paul Williams this year, it's great news that Stoica is expected to make a full recovery and continue his kickboxing career as one of the sport's rising stars.
Below is a picture of Stoica's motorcycle from the accident.
