TaKe-On

Big news from TaKe-On Productions of New York today, as we just spoke with the head of TaKe-On, Eddie Cuello, and after their wildly successful "Muay Thai and the Mecca" event earlier this year, they are going to return to Madison Square Garden's Theater in November for Muay Thai at the Mecca 2! After seeing a high level of success with the first show, it made perfect sense for TaKe-On and MSG Sports to stage another event at the Theater at MSG. On top of that, they have a new partner for this event, which is our good friends at Yokkao.

Yokkao has quickly become one of the bigger name sponsors for muay thai fighters across the world, from Buakaw Banchamek (Sombat Banchamek/Buakaw Por Pramuk), Kem Sitsongpeenong, Dzahbar Askerov and many, many (many) more. On top of that, they have promoted their Yokkao Extreme cards, which have also seen a great deal of success and international acclaim. Them coming to America and teaming up with TaKe-On and MSG Sports just seems natural and like the best possible fit.

New York has long been one of America's hotbeds for stand up fighting, with the sport of Boxing having a long, storied history in New York, with Muay Thai and Kickboxing seeing a lot of recent success there, K-1 looking to make New York one of their new homes and even the UFC fighting tooth and nail to gain acceptance in New York.

TaKe-On is in action next on August 11th for a Full Thai rules show in Atlantic City, NJ at Balley's Hotel & Casino.
