Fight Code Tomorrow Features Allazov, Bessmertny, Shakuta

  • Written by Rian Scalia

Fight Code is back tomorrow, this time in Minsk, Belarus. After a successful first event of the year in Milan with around 15000 people watching, the arena tomorrow holds about 3000. There hasn't been much buzz at all about tomorrow's event, but Fight Code seems to be focusing their promotional efforts on the local market of the event locations as opposed to the internet.

The Dragons 72.5kg tournament continues, with four fights of the Final 32. The winners will advance to the Final 16. So far, Enriko Gogokhia and Mustapha Haida have moved on to the next round. Fight Code 2011 Dragons winner Yury Bessmertny will be participating in one of those four bouts, against Edvin Erik Kibus of Estonia. The other three Dragons fights see Vitali Nikiforov take on Evgeni Telitsa, Maxim Smirnov against Dmitry Baranov and Farhat Ahmedjanov against Tadas Jonkus.

In two non tournament fights, we've got two great fighters, with one being a long time top fighter and one skyrocketing to the top. Dmitry Shakuta, who's floated around the top of 77-81kg for quite some time now, will take on Igor Ljapin of Ukraine. Chingiz Allazov is one of the fastest rising fighters in the game, and is slowly moving up to the money weight of 70kg. This fight is at 69kg and he'll be fighting Dmitry Rudenko of Ukraine.

The event starts at 15:00 GMT. Fight Code can't stream their events live anymore due to TV contracts so as for watching this, it'll be on at 18:00 in Romania on DolceSport, which is 11 AM EST/8 AM PST in North America.

Vitali Nikiforov vs. Evgeni Telitsa
Maxim Smirnov vs. Dmitry Baranov

Yury Bessmertny vs. Edvin Erik Kibus
