The artist formerly known as Buakaw Por. Pramuk has had a tough time of late, finding himself finally unable to cope with the purported abuse he was facing from his management and training team, he took off. There was speculation as to what had happened to him, if he was in danger or if he was ducking an upcoming fight. He finally broke his silence, detailing the abuses that he faced at his gym, how little he was paid or appreciated and the world saw one of Thailand's national heroes in a new light. With the help of his sponsor, Yokkao, a new gym was being built for him to train at, at least temporarily, and he had his first fight booked under his new name for April 17th in Thai Fight.
Sadly for Buakaw Banchamek, he has some legal hurdles to jump over before he can go ahead with that fight.
The Sports Authority of Thailand has gone on record with the Bangkok Post that Buakaw will need to register his new camp with the SAT before he can fight under the banner. He will also need to file a complaint against Por Pramuk, which will then be investigated by the SAT. [source]
