John Wayne Parr has had trouble with a hand injury lately that forced him out of his fight with Ky Hollenbeck in February but now he's got a fight scheduled, and it's not what you'd expect.

He'll be fighting K-1 veteran Jordan Tai. The fight will be under full Muay Thai rules, but here's the catch: It'll be in a cage with MMA gloves. It's a bit different than we're used to seeing, although there have been some kickboxing and Muay Thai fights held in a cage before.

John Wayne Parr is behind the event, called the Boonchu Cup Caged Muay Thai series. Parr is the main event and it looks like some of his Boonchu Gym stablemates will also be on the card, as Flip Street is on the poster to the right of JWP.

Not everyone will be a fan of this, but it's good to see John Wayne Parr fighting again. He had said he was going to retire after 2011 but that isn't the case and it seems he'll keep going until he feels like retiring. He's also a bit of a promoter so you can also look forward to him putting on events in the future.
