Thai Boxe Mania held its annual event in Turin, Italy yesterday and some notable fighters fought, including Artur Kyshenko. Kyshenko will be fighting Giorgio Petrosyan on March 24 in Milan, so this was a good introduction to the Italian crowd before that fight.

Artur Kyshenko fought Roberto Cocco at 75kg and took home a dominant decision win. Cocco came out guns blazing but it didn't phase Kyshenko at all. Kyshenko took over for the rest of the fight after about the first minute. Dropping Cocco with a spinning backfist in the second, he followed up by swarming Cocco with heavy punches to force a standing count. Kyshenko seemed a bit wild but his shots were really heavy and Cocco had no answer. It was a good warm up for the fight against Giorgio Petrosyan.

Winner of Fight Code's 2011 72.5kg tournament, Yury Bessmertny fought the popular K-1 star Gago Drago. Drago had lost six in a row prior to this fight and it was pretty much the same as his last six fights for him. Bessmertny stifled most of Drago's attempts at offense by moving around the ring and striking. Drago had nothing effective going for him. In the third Bessmertny hit Drago with a head kick that ended his night, sending him faceplanting straight to the canvas.

One of the best prospects in all of kickfighting, Chingiz Allazov dominated the tough veteran Erkan Varol to win a decision. Varol had nothing for Allazov, who kept the fight to his liking with his height and measure of distance. Allazov battered Varol with low kicks and body punches for the whole fight. I think it's time for a big step up in competition for Allazov. This was a step up in competition for him, but it's apparent that he's just on another level.
