WLF: Rise of Heroes III Fight Card Featuring Four Tournaments

On 10/29 and 10/30 WLF will run their Rise of Heroes III card featuring four four-man tournaments; one at 63kg, one at 65kg, one at 75kg and finally one at 80kg. These tournaments will play out over the span of the event as well as be broken up by the Super Fights promised for the card.

Muay Thai Grand Prix Launching Kickboxing Grand Prix in 2017

UK-based Muay Thai Grand Prix has made a splash on the world muay thai scene with their exciting series of events this year, partnering up with Lion Fight based out of the United States to bring a more international feel to the largely British events. Now, after seeing success with muay thai, the promotion announced today that starting in 2017 they will also be promoting kickboxing events as well. 

Both promotions will operate together under the title of Grand Prix Combat Sports, with the first show being on April 1st at the O2 featuring both Muay Thai GP and Kickboxing GP events. They will be launching titles and be showcasing unique talents for the card, with the featured names for the league as follows; Jamie Whelan, Liam Wells, Luke Whelan, Kelly Haynes, Sarah Worsfold, Sevket Cerkez, Connor Stewart, Marley Zwanenberg, Paul Karpowicz and Rory Crawford.

The promotion will be working with Xplosion Fight Series based out of Europe as well and will hopefully have further partners to exchange talent with moving forward.


GLORY Announces GLORY 37 Los Angeles in January

On January 20th GLORY will kick off their 2017 season with GLORY 37 Los Angeles. The event, taking place at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live will feature a GLORY Lightweight Championship bout as the headliner, a Welterweight Contender's tournament and the Featherweight title will be on the line to main event the SuperFight Series in what will most likely be Robin van Roosmalen defending against Matt Embree.

GLORY will round out 2016 with GLORY Collision featuring Badr Hari vs. Rico Verhoeven first, though.


Lion Fight 32 Results: Jo Nattawut Wins MIddleweight Title on Short Notice

Lion Fight returned to Las Vegas with Lion Fight 32 on AXS TV. The event, featuring a Lion Fight Middleweight Champinoship bout saw three big knockouts and the two headlining fights go to the judge's score cards. In the main event Jo Nattawut -- who stepped in for an injured Ky Hollenbeck -- walked away victorious as the new Lion Fight Middleweight Champion with a decision win over Malaipet.

Main Event – Middleweight Title Fight - Jo Nattawut (59-6-2) defeated Malaipet Sasiprapa (146-31-6) by unanimous decision (49-46, 50-45, 50-45)

Bantamweight Fight - Romie Adanza (19-7-2) versus Ming Freeman (5-0-2) ended in a majority draw (49-46, 47-47, 47-47)

Super Bantamweight Fight – Victor Saravia (6-2) defeated Kendrick Latchmann (0-1) by unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 49-46).

Lightweight Fight - Travis Clay (4-0) defeated Marvin Madariaga (5-2-1) via TKO at 2:10 in round four.

Middleweight Fight - Gabriel Mazzetti (12-2) defeated Josh Shepard (5-2) by TKO at 0:19 in round two.

Lightweight Fight - Anthony Castrejon (7-3) defeated Cody Moberly (23-15) by TKO at 1:35 in round five.
