Liam Harrison vs. Singdam Kiatmoo9 Scheduled for Yokkao 15

  • Published in Muay Thai

If you've been following muay thai and kickboxing for a while you definitely know the name Liam Harrison. Harrison, based out of the UK, has been one of the best non-Thai fighters to compete in the muay thai ring over the past few years and has built up quite a name for himself. Over that span of time he has fought a whopping 99 times and his 100th fight will not only be a big deal, it'll be a huge deal. At Yokkao 15 on October 10th he will face multiple-time Lumpinee champion Singdam Kiatmoo9.

Singdam is revered as one of the top fighters in the world at 135lbs, trading wins with the best fighters in the world over the past few years at Lumpinee Stadium, the mecca for muay thai. This headlining bout will be joining the other headlining bout from Yokkao 14 on the same night between Greg Wootton and Saenchai in what should be another crazy double header of a night for the fans in the UK.

Yokkao wowed fans in the UK last month with Yokkao 10 and 11 -- a double-headed at the Rebok -- featuring some of the world's top talents competing against each other. Two world titles were decided that night, with Jordan Watson taking home the gold at Yokkao 10 and at Yokkao 11 Pakorn met Greg Wootton for the -65kg World Title.

Thanks to Yokkao, there is now video of the full fight for your enjoyment.

Check Out the Video From Yokkao 11's Fight of the Night: Brad Stanton vs Crice Boussoukou

  • Published in Video

Exactly one month ago Yokkao held a double-header in the UK with Yokkao 10 and Yokkao 11. Both events featured some crazy action, some of which we've seen thanks to them uploading it to their YouTube channel, now we get to see the fight from Yokkao 11 that has been labeled as the fight of the night; Brad Stanton vs. Crice Boussoukou.

After Yokkao 10 and 11 Yokkao saw a lot of talent in the UK, which has led for Stefania Picelli and Brian Calder to begin work in creating a Yokkao Fight Team based out of the UK. This fight is just further proof of the talent that the UK possesses, for sure.

Seeing as though Yokkao 5 has come and gone, there have been questions from fans as to when we can expect to actually see the fights and the answer has come to us directly from the source, with a rather satisfying answer at that. According to Yokkao there will soon be a bunch of post-fight interviews up on YouTube as well as some highlights, but the best is yet to come as by the end of December all of the fights will be up on their YouTube channel for free.

Yes, that means that you'll be able to catch up on the latest from Yokkao for free. In the meantime, watch this video documenting the leadup into the event.

Saenchai Drew Capacity Crowds for NYC Seminar

  • Published in Muay Thai

This past weekend in the snowy New York City Saenchai headed into the heart of the city with Yokkao promoter Stefania Picelli for a stint of three days jam-packed with seminars and private sessions. Saenchai, along with Manop Yuangyai shocked attendants by putting on a blistering three-hour long seminar for the attendees. The seminars were originally intended to be at the York College Arena where they could fit more people in, but due to weather they ended up having more intimate affairs at the Striking 101 Gym where they had to limit each seminar to 50 people.

In attendance were professional fighters and muay thai enthusiasts from all over the country, even attendees from as far as Canada and Brazil.

Due to the success of these seminars Yokkao are looking to hold more seminars across the country with Saenchai. If your gym is interested in hosting one reach out to them; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
