Yokkao Signs Exclusive Benelux Deal with All Combat Sports

  • Published in Muay Thai

Stefania

Word has come down the pipe today that Stefania Picelli of Yokkao has had a successful meeting of Mr. Peter Wetzer of All Combat Sports (http://www.allcombatsports.eu/) which has brought Yokkao products into one of the hearts of the Kickboxing and Muay Thai world that is the BeNeLux region of Europe (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). This partnership goes well beyond the scope of just having an exclusive, authorized Yokkao dealer within the BeNeLux region, though. There is also talk of more coming from the partnership in the future, with some immediate implications.

What are those immediate implications? Yokkao and All Combat Sports will be looking into building up a team of sponsored fighters from the region. Holland is known to be one of the hotbeds for some of the best gyms and fighters in the world and could possibly be the home of a new Yokkao Fight Team, if things pan out as we've heard. That is exciting news for fighters in the region, who are encouraged to head to http://www.allcombatsports.eu and use the contact form (on the right side of the page) to pass along their information. We know for sure that Stefania and Peter are going to be looking for the best new talents to proudly wear the Yokkao name into battle.

Since it is such a dense region of Europe chock full of talent there are some immediate questions we have, such as; which fighters will Yokkao choose to sponsor first? There are legends like Peter Aerts, Remy Bonjasky, Andy Souwer or even the Bad Boy, Badr Hari based out of Holland, just like there are newer stars like Andy Ristie, Davit Kiria, Henri Van Opstal and more. There is also the question of whether or not we'll see a Yokkao Extreme event in the near future in the area? With a new region opening up like this for Yokkao there seem to be limitless possibilities for them.

For further information check out the new http://www.allcombatsports.eu as well as http://www.yokkao.com, don't forget to follow @YokkaoBoxing or check them out on Facebook, as well as follow Stefania as she treks around the world.

After the last minute change of not only venues but continents, Muay Thai Mania Yokkao 5 went down without a hitch yesterday in Thailand. The event would have been considered a success even if it wasn't moved on one week's notice, but it really is amazing to look at how they had to move the entire event from Europe to Thailand that quickly and that everything went smoothly. The main event saw a bout between Saenchai and Singdam with both guys trying to win the KO bonus, but Saenchai was just overwhelming and won by points.

  • Saenchai MuayThaiGym won by points vs Singdam Kiatmoo9

Yokkao Announces Official US Shop

  • Published in Muay Thai

Yokkao

Yokkao is one of the better-known gear companies within the world of Muay Thai and a lot of the time we end up with questions like; where can I get Yokkao gear in the United States. The answer was, to say the least, kind of frustrating. Yokkao gear was a bit tough to come by here stateside, but it looks like that is all changing as Yokkao announces their official US shop!

That means if you live in the United States you can finally get your own Yokkao gear direct! That means gloves, pads, shorts, t-shirts and more. There is now a Muay Thai Combat San Francisco, which will serve as the base of operations out there, with Stefania Picelli opening up the office just weeks ago now; “The project that I am starting in the US will give each and every US State the opportunity to sell Yokkao Boxing. All of what I am doing with Muay Thai Combat and Yokkao is being copied by the world round, but a copy is ONLY a copy and I am proud to be the original one and only with fresh ideas to keep our fans happy, impressed and wanting more .. so USA, Get Ready!”

Yokkao-Sponsored Nieky Holzken Successful in Boxing Ring

  • Published in Europe

Nieky Holzken, sporting Yokkao trunks, made his successful return to the boxing ring yesterday after about a year away. Holzken stepped into the ring in the Netherlands at Golden Glory Helmond against Ismael Altintas, whom he made short work of in round two. Holzken was proudly sporting his Yokkao trunks in the ring as he moved on to 5-0 as a professional with Yokkao promoter Stefania Picelli and BeNeLux Yokkao distributor Peter Wetzer at ringside to provide support.

It looks like Holzken is over that injury from the car accident and might be back in kickboxing action in the very near future as well, with us knowing that he has his eyes on Joseph Valtellini and that GLORY Welterweight Championship. Yokkao's next event is a double-header, Yokkao 10 and 11 on October 11th. Expect to see Liam Harrison, Kongsak, Pakorm, Jordan Watson, Piscitello, Crice and more in action on October 11th.

Yokkao Determined to Push Muay Thai Forward Starting with Muay Thai Combat Mania Ile de la Reunion

  • Published in Muay Thai
Yokkao
Stefania Picelli with Mohamed Diaby

We are involved in a very interesting time right now if you are a fan of Kickboxing and Muay Thai. There has been tremendous change within the industry over the past few years, with everything being reshuffled, new promotions rising up, old ones falling and lots of established fighters are aging, leaving room for a new generation of fighters to rise into prominence. In the past few years, Yokkao has not only been making headway in regards to bringing muay thai gear to the world, but they've also done a lot to raise awareness for some of the best talents from Thailand and around the world.

Part of that strategy has involved sponsoring fighters, assembling an all-star fight team and promoting their own Yokkao events as well. Yokkao has a big event coming up in March in England and Stefania Picelli has reached out to us this morning with a statement on Yokkao's mission to bring the best fighters -- from anywhere -- to the attention of the world.

The concept of Yokkao events is to find the best talents and to give them a chance to fight vs Top fighters, not only because they are "recommended" for their affiliations.
Our staff works to find what no one else is looking for: fighters who deserve to fight in big events not only because their gym is famous. Of course there are gyms that are institutions who provide fighters, but there are many gyms with good trainers and fighters who are still unknown in the world.
What my staff and I do is to find these gyms, trainers and fighters.
Why? Because Yokkao is aimed by the real spirit of Muay Thai and give fighters from every country in the world a chance to transform his dream into reality by being part of the most famous Muay Thai team in the world; the Yokkao Fight Team.
What we evaluate is the hard training, the sacrifice and the determination of each fighter who want to transform his life.
This is Yokkao: the realization of the Dream.

To go along with this, Yokkao is announcing today that Saenchai will square off against Aziz Hlali on November 8th at Muay Thai Combat Mania Ile de la Réunion, or what we'll call #Yokkao5. On top of that, Sudsakorn Sor. Klinmee will square off against Mohamed Diaby and Andrea Masini vs Crice Boussoukou, making it yet another incredible event from Yokkao and Stefania Picelli.
