A Breakdown of Yokkao's Return to the UK with Yokkao 10 and 11

  • Published in Muay Thai

Yokkao are once again returning to the UK only this time with two cards in one night.

On October the 11th 2014 Yokkao will host their tenth and eleventh events from Bolton, England.  Whilst most of the card is yet to be unveiled, the handful of fights already announced make this a card not to be missed, featuring the best the UK Muay Thai scene has to offer against a whole host of talented and highly-regarded international opposition.

Headlining the first card will be a bout between England’s best at 70kg as Jordan Watson competes for only the second time this calendar year as he faces off against French-Italian journeyman Mickael Piscitello.

Fellow Bad Company Muay Thai representative Liam Harrison will headline the second card against Kongsak Sitboonmee, a man who only a few years ago was regarded as one of the best Muay Thai fighters in all of Thailand.

The fight between Pakorn and Greg Wootton was originally scheduled for this past March at Yokkao 8, however the bout was unfortunately cancelled due to travel issues with Pakorn and has been rescheduled for this event.

Yokkao # 10 2pm GMT:
Jordan Watson (ENG) vs. Mickael Piscitello (FRE)
Pakorn Sakoythin (THA) vs. Greg Wootton (ENG)

Yokkao # 11 6pm GMT:

Yokkao Clarifies Contract Status of Saenchai and Pakorn

  • Published in Muay Thai

Saenchai

Muay Thai gear and lifestyle brand, Yokkao, also the masterminds behind the Yokkao Muay Thai events, have reached out to LiverKick today to explain an issue which has caused some confusion for fans. The issue is mainly about Saenchai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym. Saenchai has fought all over the world now, fighting not only in Muay Thai, but Kickboxing as well. This includes a fight for K-1 in December, which has led some to believe that Saenchai is under longterm contract to K-1. Saenchai also appears on GLORY's official rankings in the number seven slot. Yokkao would like to clarify that Saenchai's manager is Yokkao promoter Stefania Picelli and that Saenchai is not under contract to either GLORY or K-1.

Saenchai did indeed fight for K-1, but it was a one-fight contract. Pakorn is also under Stefania Picelli's management and is not signed to either promotion. Yokkao and Stefania Picelli simply wish to clarify this matter and to dispel any of the rumors that have been circulating about both fighters. They can be reached for comment at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Full Fight: Yokkao 8: Tim Thomas vs Reece McAllister

  • Published in Muay Thai

So they released another fight from the highly talked about Yokkao 8 card which took place on March 8th. Just like the Harrison vs Bennoui this fight shows two fighters trying hard to knock each other out till the very end. They matched the heavy handed Tim Thomas with the younger technical Reece McAllister. Basically anyone who knows Thomas, knows that he can end any fight with just one right hand, and he was doing well through the whole first round and most of the second until McAllister landed a huge super man punch and dropped Thomas to turn the momentum in his favor. After that the technical muay thai and intelligence (and one more knock down) by McAllister earned him the unanimous decision victory.

I always enjoy watching Reece McAllister fight and it was nice to see him come back with a win after the hard knockout he faced at the hands of Steve Moxon at Glory 11 in Chicago.

  • Published in Muay Thai

Supershowdown presents Yokkao are combining both their 10th and 11th shows into a super-card this coming Saturday from the Reebox Arena in Bolton, UK. It was announced today that both shows will feature a Yokkao World Champion crowned in the main events in the respective weights.

Headlining Yokkao 10 will be Bad Company representative Jordan Watson as he makes only his second appearance of 2014 when he battles Frenchman Mickael Piscitello.
