Samedov vs Morosanu Fight Video

  • Published in Video

Zabit Samedov defeated Catalin Morosanu yesterday on the Akhmat Fight show in Grozny. It was easy to tell from just the entrance that Morosanu was not in the shape he usually is. He pulled out of his fight with SuperKombat last month due to a herniated disk in his neck but then accepted this fight just a month later. I'm sure Akhmat paid Morosanu well to convince him to fight even though he was injured and probably hadn't trained. Samedov did his job and did it well, avoiding Morasanu's early hail mary barrage and then catching him with a well timed knee to the solar plexus. I hope Catalin Morosanu can get his neck taken care of and we can see him back in top form again soon.

Here is the video so you can all see for yourselves.

Video: Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller's latest boxing fight

  • Published in Video

Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller extended his Boxing win streak to 11-0 this weekend with a victory over the granite chinned Aaron Kinch. I couldn't help but think of brain damage when I watched this fight, it was 6 rounds of Miller just landing clean punches while Kinch was able to stay on his feet and survive I have no idea how. Miller weighed in at a heavy 281 lbs for this fight which could mean two things, either his strength and conditioning training is going perfectly, or he had a really good Christmas and New Years. No matter what even at 281 lbs this was a dominant victory for Big Baby that I feel could have been stopped at a few points during the fight, hope to see him back in the kickboxing ring soon.

Badr Hari vs Rico Verhoeven Last Fight Comparison & Videos

  • Published in Glory

Since Glory has confirmed Badr Hari vs Rico Verhoeven for December its time to talk about this fight. We will start by comparing their latest fights even though Rico will have one more fight before December, which is a title defense against Anderson "Braddock" Silva.

By the time December rolls around Badri Hari will have inactive for 1 year and 4 months, his last fight against Ismael Londt in Grozny, Russia was in August 2015. Now everyone has different opinions on ring rust but I strongly believe that for an active kickboxer it is very important to fight more often than this. Badr has lots of wars under his belt so who knows how his body is doing these days, but no matter how old or inactive Hari still has crazy KO power that comes from strange angles, no matter who it is if Badr lands a clean punch or kick they can be in for a short night. Here is the video of Badr Hari's last fight, he won but he definitely didn't look sharp nonetheless still and exciting fight.

Rico Verhoeven apart from one minor setback against Gerasimchuk has looked really unstoppable lately. He has improved greatly and is continuing to do so. The problem is that the heavyweight division is nothing like it used to be, back in K-1 GP days every year there were so many amazing heavyweights that it was a toss up who was going to win the tournament. Now that most of those guy have retired no one has really taken their place which leaves Rico in a shallow division. At the moment I don't really see anyone that can challenge him skill wise but with heavyweights anyone can land that KO punch or kick and Rico has been knocked out before. Rico wants to make sure to stay active before his fight with Badr so even though he already fought in March of this year, he will be defending his title in September which in my opinion is a little dangerous but that is his choice. Ricos last fight against Mladen Brestovac wasn't his best performance but he showed how good his cardio is, which is a big thing in the heavyweight division, also his leg kicks are nasty. One thing Rico is constantly criticized about is his lack of KO power and boring fights, well Badr Hari has never had a boring fight so I don't think we will have to worry about that this time around.

Video: Kunlun Fight Top 10 KO's of 2016

  • Published in Video

Kunlun Fight has been putting on shows almost every 2nd weekend for all of 2016. Most of the shows were kickboxing with the focus being on their huge 70kgs tournament which will be coming to an end soon. Even though they have only been around since 2014 they are quickly becoming one of the very top promotions in the world having most of top tier fighters on their shows. The best thing about Kunlun is that they have so many shows which allows fighters to stay active even if they are signed exclusively to them, for example Sittichai Sitsongpeenong even though he is not exclusive to Kunlun fought for them 6 times already in 2016 and still has at least one or two more to go, maybe with promotions putting on shows like this kickboxers can actually make a decent living soon.

Here is an amazing video Kunlun Fight has made of their Top 10 KO's of the year, Enjoy.

Video: This Was Glory 35

  • Published in Glory

Glory 35 in Nice, France turned out to be an amazing event with wicked fights, great knockouts and every seat on the arena full. I'd have to say even though a lot of the arena was curtained off it was still much better to have a smaller space full of people than a big space with tons of empty seats. The French crowds are always very educated which of course makes a show much more enjoyable. Glory as usual has released a highlight of the event where you can feel the energy of the crowd and emotions of the fighters.

This was Glory 35

Enfusion Live #47 took place this weekend in Nijmegen, Nederlands with overall some pretty good fights. Keng Superpro Samui lost his belt by controversial decision to Soufiane Kaddouri. Ismael Lazaar got the win this time but again looked very tired and no where near the killer he was last year. In the main event Mohamad Khamal won a decision over Jomthong Chuwattana just by being more busy with his hands, even though Chuwattana landed quite a few kicks on the arms, this is kickboxing rules after all.
