Lion Fight 33 Results

  • Published in Americas

Lion Fight 33 took place tonight and even though the first few fights started off the night a little slow, the pace picked up as the fights went on and we saw some great performances. Regian Eersel absolutely destroyed Purdy with his powerful uppercuts and ended it with a flying knee to become the new 165lbs champion. Shevchenko and Nattawut cruised their way to a decision without ever being in too much trouble to defend their belts.  Throughout the whole show, it was obvious that the ring ropes were very very loose and commentator Michael Schiavello made sure to bring it up multiple times but the Lion fights staff did not decide to tighten them until right before their very last fight, it made clinching against the ropes impossible without falling out of the ring.

Full Results

Jo Nattawut def. Hasan Toy via Unanimous Decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)

Regian Eersel def. Jake Purdy via TKO 2:41 Round 2
