SuperKombat Crowns Three New Champions at Year-End Event

SuperKombat SuperKombat

In a show that was an end of an era in European kickboxing with Eurosport broadcasting their last live kickboxing event SuperKombat put forth an entertaining year-end show that crowned three new champions and provided a lot of thrills. Marija Malencia of Croatia defeated Ania Fucz of Germany to take home the SuperKombat Bantamweight Championship. In a rematch from the last event, Chris Ngimbi looked to defend the SuperKombat Middleweight Championship, but Amansio Paraschiv was simply too much to handle on this night and they crowned a local hero as the new champion. The main event saw Cristian Spetcu take home the SuperKombat Lightweight Championship in a battle against Norway's Simon Santana.

To close the show, Eduard Irimia thanked Eurosport for their years of partnership, as well as promised news about their United States expansion in 2017.

“First of all, I want to say thank Eurosport in the name of Superkombat. It was a great cooperation, Eurosport was the biggest contributors for the development of Superkombat. From 2017 we will start a new era, soon we will announce the new deals about television and also the details about US expansion."
