Yesterday in Eindhoven, Holland, Fightsensation II took place and it featured a lot of up and coming Dutch-based fighters along with a fight between two of the higher-ups at the weight around 85kg.
The It's Showtime World Champion at 85kg, Sahak Parparyan, met Hakan Aksoy. Parparyan was coming off a bit of a layoff, as he was scheduled to fight in September against Vjekoslav Bajic but couldn't due to an injury sustained. Sahak's last recorded win was against Moises Ruibal on June 18, but he did win two fights on the third season of Enfusion in August. Aksoy defeated Bogdan Stoica in July, although Stoica lost due to an injury sustained. Sahak took a decision over Aksoy, further cementing himself as one of the top at 85kg. From all the accounts I've heard, Sahak looked really good and the only thing that held Aksoy up was his incredible chin. Sahak has really come into his own since permanently fighting around 85kg and not hanging around higher weights.
It should be interesting to see what's next for Sahak, but for now the only thing set for him is the finals of Enfusion which are supposed to take place some time in April in Holland. He's apparently fighting the Slovenian fighter Franci Grajs in the semi-final of the one night final tournament.
