GLORY is looking to start 2018 with a bang, with three events set in rapid-fire succession. First comes GLORY 50 in a matter of weeks, then GLORY 51 in early March, now GLORY 52 Los Angeles on March 31st. GLORY 52 will be headlined by Robin van Roosmalen defending the GLORY Featherweight Championship against Interim Champion Kevin VanNostrand in what is being billed as a title unification bout.
Also scheduled is Marat Grigorian vs. Stoyan Koprivlenski in a Lightweight Contendership bout. Marat Grigorian is coming hot off of the Kunlun Fight 70kg tournament victory where he defeated what was the consensus #1 70kg fighter in the world of Superbon Banchamek in a thrilling stoppage. While there are questions of how many times you can run Sitthichai vs. Marat, perhaps a fourth time is a charm. There is also a middleweight tournament featuring Jason Wilnis vs. Robert Thomas and Simon Marcus vs. Yousri Belgaroui, which, let’s be honest, is a pretty good one-night tournament.
The SuperFight Series is a bit less filled out, with Pavel Zhuravlev, Anissa Meksen, Josh Jauncey and Zakaria Zouggary all scheduled to compete but are still without opponents. One would assume local, American fighters, but who knows? Speaking of local fighters, Mike Lemaire will fight Chris Camozzi in Camozzi’s second professional kickboxing bout, which is a pretty steep step up in competition.
