ONE Championship returned from a bit of a summer breather with ONE Championship Beyond the Horizon, featuring four big Super Series bouts, one in kickboxing, three in muay thai. Yokkao Muay Thai Superstar Manachai Fights for WBC World Title in October

On October 29th in Hong Kong at Yokkao 34 international muay thai superstar Manachai will be challenging for a WBC world title. Manachai will be squaring off against Brazilian muay thai expert Julio Lobo for the WBC Muay Thai World Welterweight title. The WBC muay thai titles are some of the most significant around, with this title’s lineage dating back to 2006 and being held by such stars as Fabio Pinca and Liam Harrison. K-1 Japan Returns to 65kg With Grand Prix Featuring Kaew vs. Yamato on Nov. 3rd

K-1 Japan held a press conference announcing a new Super Lightweight World Grand Prix to be held on November 3rd, 2018. The tournament will crown a new 65kg champion for the organization after previous champion Noiri Masaaki vacated the belt earlier this summer to move up a division. While K-1 Japan still has its experimental cruiserweight grand prix set to go down in September, the return to the 65kg division represents a throwback to the roots of the promotion. Sitthichai Declares It’s ‘Game Over’ for Marat Grigorian Rivalry

This past weekend in China Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong defeated Marat Grigorian for a fourth and what he declares a final time. While the fight was close and there is a subset of fans that felt that Marat was given a raw deal by the judges, for Sitthichai he feels like their feud is over after a fourth victory over Grigorian.
